These high-value employees are usually either a part of the client’s C-suite or a top-tier professional employee providing extremely technical job requirements, managing highly capable technical teams or performing leadership roles in disciplines otherwise requiring a niche skillset. Two categories of hiring occur:

Contingent Hires are hires in which employers evaluate candidates based on predetermined and well-defined parameters such as job position title, employee duties and responsibilities, position salary, job location, etc. before making a hiring decision. The client is not financially responsible for recruiting services until the employee starts work.

Retained Hires refers to a hiring process that starts with a candidate beginning work as a consultant with many open contract parameters, generally benefitting the client.
